What is a Synthesis Chapter?       How to start up a Chapter?
Synthesis chapters are groups of students and young people that organize and facilitate meetings, events, lectures & show movies in their schools & communities. These chapters work through their school systems and communities to launch awareness campaigns about pressing environmental and social justice issues & work to implement positive solutions.

Once a month all the members of different chapters meet and gather to share the work that they’re doing in their schools. They support each other & collaborate on community-wide campaigns.

Presently there are Synthesis chapters at:
-SUNY Ulster in Stone Ridge, NY
-SUNY New Paltz in New Paltz, NY
-Rondout Valley High School in Accord, NY
"Synthesis was an exhilarating introduction to campus
activism. It is a forum to talk about and create change in
personal, social, political, and spiritual realms. The members
of Synthesis have helped me to develop an appreciation and
awareness of myself and surroundings. I made many friends
in Synthesis who I still hold dear. Although the members of
Synthesis have changed, its idealistic spirit remains."
