Synthesis founding document ratified by members on September 13th, 2003.
When in the course of human and earthly events, the magnitude of human's conquest of nature has wreaked havoc on the social, cultural, economic and environmental aspects of life so much so as to effect certain destruction of humanity, the natural desire to live necessitates a complete conscious transformation of paradigm and action for the harmonious advancement of the planetary good.
"A house divided against itself cannot stand." A globalized economy that disregards the health of its participants, which pits brother against brother and sister against sister, cannot survive. A culture that accepts war over education, weapons over food, profit over life, is sure to self-destruct.
Out of this downward spiral, there springs a great and noble motivation to improve the conscious fabric, which clothes us.

"All experience has shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed." Until now it has been easy to avoid the reality of our economic system and to justify its institutions as means to a wealthy end for those fortunate enough to receive it. But as we move rapidly through the 21st century, all data and theory point to the overwhelming self-destruction our living patterns inflict on the entire world, including our families, homes and futures.
We are a generation of youth removing the shackles of ignorance which bond us to this destructive cycle of fear, greed and violence, which force repression of our own human love, dignity and intelligence by estranging the natural relation of earth and human.

We declare ourselves interdependent with all levels and niches of life on this planet. It cannot be argued that one faction may survive and prosper while the rest deteriorate under its clutch. "All things are connected. This we know. Whatever befalls one part of the web befalls all strands.
We represent the empowerment of youth and unborn children in every rural town and farmland, in every city, in every ghetto, in every school, employment or place of incarceration, in every area of conflict, poverty, and exploitation whose future absolutely depends on the actions of this generation. We are children of one and the same earth declaring ourselves responsible to each other, and dedicated to the systematic organized transformation of our local and global community from one of division and competition, to one of harmony and freedom.

Let it be known to all who have ears and eyes and hearts to listen, that the necessary integration of resources, creativity, education, technology and community is the work of the Synthesis movement. That our all inclusive, integral approach to the expansion of human consciousness will raise us and future generations to a paradigm which considers the planet's overall functioning a test and discovery of the true and highest potential of humanity.

"My involvement in Synthesis gave me hope that a paradigm
shift might actually happen in my generation. Being part
of a group of young people dedicating so much time and
energy to environmental, political, social and creative
consciousness made me feel like we were "being the change
we wanted to see in the world. Together, we advocated for
a healthy society."
