Our Philosophy We believe it is through an integral, whole-systems approach to learning that an individual can understand the interconnectedness of our lives and world from multiple perspectives: socially, economically, scientifically, politically, morally, environmentally, and spiritually. In an educational system of ‘specialization’, students are often forced into a limited perspective, unaware of the far reaching effects of their work and daily way of life. We believe education should not only prepare students to join the workforce, but also enable them to live a full and rewarding life, participating consciously in their community, both locally and globally. We believe that through critical and interdisciplinary thinking we can begin to see the ‘big picture’ and enact creative solutions to our local and global problems. Through local communities and global organizations, we aim to create a worldwide network of free thinking and educated youth and students dedicated to a path that will benefit all beings on this planet, allowing all of us to share equally in the joy and beauty of life. |

Our Vision We work to create our vision of transforming the world through building a united network of youth and students organizers who embody and promote the principles of tolerance, peace and non-violence in their schools, communities, places of employment and homes. Synthesis facilitates the education, empowerment, training and development of these new leaders and role models for our generation. Synthesis leaders act in the schools as peer mediators and mentors to their fellow students, assisting the school system in making school a safe place for students to feel respected and appreciated, not bullied or harassed. Synthesis leaders act as members of their communities to give voice to the concerns and issues affecting our generation. Synthesis leaders act in their jobs and homes to exemplify a healthy, positive, and honest way to live life. Through Synthesis, we will empower and prepare a generation of leaders to actualize positive social change in our world. Our vision is to elevate the consciousness and spirit of our human family to cherish democracy, truth, peace, honesty, dignity and, above all else, love. Our vision is that future generations will one day live in a world where they will never have to experience the horrors of poverty, ignorance, hunger, disease, destruction, and violence, a world where the legacy of this generation lives on as the force that awakened a new world of peace and love. |
